Pan American Fixtures can be a valuable resource in planning your store. We realize a good fixture plan can be an overwhelming task for a new store owner. We have experienced retailers on staff who understand store environments and the myriad details involved in successfully opening a new store. We can work directly with you, your store designer or architect to develop a plan that fits your merchandising strategy, design requirements and budget. Although the planning process requires many detailed decisions it typically involves the following four basic steps.

We develop an understanding of your objectives and goals in opening or remodeling your store. This includes the timing of your store opening, product assortment, merchandising objectives, store size, fixture budget and unique needs. Most importantly we listen. We build over one hundred stores every year, each designed to meet the owner's objectives.

You send Pan American a floor plan of the building or retail space noting windows, doors, stairs, columns, electrical outlets and any other physical or mechanical features which will affect your fixture layout. We assign an experienced project manager who will be your partner until your store is successfully delivered and installed. Your project manager will consult with you regarding any additional details that need consideration. Pan American develops an initial fixture layout plan which is forwarded for your review, amendment and approval. Each fixture in the plan is keyed so you can easily identify its function and product adjacencies.

Your project manager will work with you on the many details and options to be incorporated into your fixtures. After finalizing the fixture details and approving the final layout plan you will receive a sales contract which provides pricing, delivery information and detailed descriptions for all of your fixtures. The contract is reviewed, any questions or changes are addressed and you forward a signed copy to Pan American with a deposit.

Once your signed contract is received your project manager will produce a full set of detailed fixture drawings for your review. This may take a few days or weeks depending upon the size and complexity of your job. These drawings contain all of the details which will be incorporated into your fixtures. Your project manager will review them with you, point out important details and answer any questions you might have. After approval of shop drawings Pan American orders materials and assigns a production date for your fixtures.
